Case · own platform
Local suppliers and hospitality in one app. Built from the ground up.
Localys is the digital ordering platform for the local food chain. Growers, butchers, fishmongers, wholesalers and bakers sell directly to restaurants and cafés: one basket, fair prices and a smart delivery route.
The challenge
WhatsApp lists and loose price sheets
Restaurants ordered from ten local suppliers in ten different ways: WhatsApp, phone, email and loose price sheets. Suppliers tracked orders, delivery days and invoices by hand. Buying local felt like extra work.
The solution
One app for the whole chain
I built Localys from the ground up: a B2B platform where buyers order from several local suppliers in a single basket, and where suppliers run their own shop, delivery area and invoicing. Behind it runs a go-to-market engine I also built, which finds and approaches new suppliers and buyers.
What's inside
For buyers and suppliers

Logistics
Real kilometres, real CO₂
Localys converts each supplier's daily run into real road kilometres. That makes routes and transport costs visible, and shows the actual CO₂ impact of local delivery instead of a vague feeling.

How it works
From order to delivery
The buyer orders
From several local suppliers at once, with delivery days and customer prices visible up front.
The supplier delivers
Orders arrive in one place, with a picking list and a delivery route per day.
Invoice and accounts
Invoiced including deposits, and linked directly to the accounts.
From order to invoice, without a WhatsApp list.

The result
Buying local has never been this simple.
