1. Who is responsible?
Apollo Digital, Haven Westzijde 21, 4511 AR Breskens, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce no. 22064187), is the controller for personal data processed through apollodigital.nl. Send privacy questions to hello@apollodigital.nl or call +31 (0)117 23 48 88.
2. What data, and why
Contact form
Your name, email address and message. I use them to answer your question and, if you wish, to prepare a proposal. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract, and my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Strategy call requests
Your business email address. I use it to contact you and schedule the call. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract.
Spam protection
When you submit a form, the website automatically checks whether it is spam, using details such as your IP address and the time of submission. This check runs on my own server; no data is sent to an external spam service. Legal basis: legitimate interest (protecting the site and my inbox).
Email and phone
If you email or call me, I use your details to help you. Legal basis: legitimate interest or steps prior to entering into a contract.
Clients
If we work together, I process the data needed to carry out the assignment and to invoice it, such as company name, contact person, address and payment details. Legal basis: performance of the contract and the statutory duty to keep records.
Website visits and advertising
Only if you consent in the cookie banner do I use the Meta Pixel. See below.
3. Cookies and the Meta Pixel
The website sets functional cookies that are needed for it to work, including one that remembers your cookie choice. These do not require consent.
If you consent to marketing cookies, the website loads the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Facebook and Instagram). This lets me:
- show ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited this website before (remarketing);
- measure whether my ads work, for example whether someone submitted a form after seeing an ad.
Meta receives information such as the pages you view, details about your browser and device, your IP address, a cookie ID and the fact that you submitted a form. The contents of the form (such as your name, email address or message) are not sent to Meta.
Apollo Digital and Meta are jointly responsible for collecting and transmitting this data. What Meta does with it afterwards is covered by Meta's privacy policy. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw or change at any time via the cookie policy or the 'Manage consent' button at the bottom of the screen.
4. Who I share data with
I do not sell your data. I only share it with parties needed to run this website and my business:
- Hosting: the website, form submissions and my email are stored on a server I rent from a hosting provider.
- Resend: sends the email notifications of submitted forms to my inbox (Resend, Inc., United States).
- Google Fonts: this website's fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which means Google sees your IP address.
- Meta: only with your consent, see section 3.
- Accounting: for clients I use online accounting software to send invoices.
I make agreements with processors about protecting your data. Some of these parties are based in the United States; transfers then rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
5. How long I keep data
- Enquiries and email: up to two years after our last contact, unless we start working together.
- Client and invoice data: seven years, as required by Dutch law.
- Spam check data: no more than 30 days.
- Cookies: seethe cookie policy. Your cookie choice is remembered for one year.
6. Security
The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS), its software is kept up to date, and only I have access to the admin area and the submissions. I do not make decisions based solely on automated processing.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also object to processing, have it restricted, ask for your data to be transferred, and withdraw consent you have given. Send your request to hello@apollodigital.nl; you will receive an answer within one month.
Not happy with how I handle your data? Please let me know first so we can sort it out together. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
8. Changes
If anything changes on the website or in the services I use, I will update this policy. The date of the latest change is always shown at the top.
