About me
I'm Michaël. I've been building websites since I was twelve, and companies since 2007.
More than nineteen years of marketing and online growth, for more than seventy-five companies. No agency around it: you talk to the person who does the work and builds the technology too.
How I got here
It was always both.
At three I was sitting behind an MSX. At twelve I was building websites, and in 2007 I started my first company. That isn't an anecdote; it's the reason this combination feels normal to me.
Since then, more than nineteen years in marketing and online growth, for more than seventy-five companies. Campaigns, sites, webshops, and more and more often the systems underneath.
I'm not a marketer who picked up technology, and not a builder who moved into marketing. That marketing and development now come together in what is called GTM engineering isn't a new direction for me. It's just the first time it has a name.
What I've done in recent years
I build the systems that make marketing and sales work together.
FinDock · GTM engineer and growth marketer
Payment platform for Salesforce. I turned signals into pipeline there: workflows that find organisations with buying intent, scoring that decides who comes first, and outreach that lands straight in Salesforce. Embedded in the team two and a half days a week, alongside marketing and sales.
Localys · Co-founder
Built the entire platform and the GTM engine myself. Plus an order screen for suppliers on Elecrow hardware that announces new orders with sound and light.
Byner · Marketing specialist
From start-up to scale-up. Marketing automation in Pardot, real-time dashboards on MQLs, SQLs and revenue per channel, and email and LinkedIn outreach that often brought in more than half of the revenue.
Apollo Digital · Owner
For SMEs and B2B software: Google and Meta Ads, SEO and GEO, marketing automation, dashboards and webshops from 10 to well over 10,000 products.
Project manager at Behave Sieraden: a B2B purchasing platform, then Bol.com, Amazon and a webshop with 8,500+ accessories. Guest lecturer in marketing and entrepreneurship at Scalda. And I started in IT at shipping company Vroon, from service desk to SharePoint engineer.
Six parts, one system
For a software company. Each part works on its own, but the value is in the connection: the same account list drives the alerts, the outreach and the ads.
Accounts in order
Large lists enriched and split into three tiers. Sales starts with the best fit and knows why an account is on the list.
Website visits into the CRM
Companies visiting the site are recognised, matched to the CRM and set up for follow-up. Nobody has to export a spreadsheet.
An account you can talk to
A large target organisation mapped out, with an overview and an AI chat. Who is involved, what do they talk about, where do you start?
Ads that move along
Search, remarketing and LinkedIn. Accounts with an open deal automatically see the right message while sales works on them.
LinkedIn per segment
Message sequences written per audience, connected to the same lists.
Partners and events
Partner lists analysed, similar companies found and event visitors segmented for follow-up.
Why I work alone
This is a choice, not a phase on the way to an agency.
You talk to the person doing the work, not to an account manager passing it on. And I don't sell hours, I build systems. That is what makes it workable for one person.
Where I don't do something myself, I bring in people I know and trust. That isn't a secret, and you hear about it in advance.
One person is also one calendar
I don't take on more than I can handle, and sometimes that means waiting. I'd rather say so up front than have you find out halfway through.

What I enjoy most about this work isn't seeing a campaign run. It's the moment someone understands how their own market works, and can take it further themselves. I want you to understand more at the end of a project than at the start, not to depend on me.
I'm on the other side too
I don't just advise on growth. I do it myself.
Localys
A platform that connects local suppliers with professional buyers. There I face the same questions as my clients: how do I get users, what works and what doesn't, where does it get stuck. So I feel what it costs myself.

Measured twice, same outcome.
Gallup in 2019 and a TMA talent analysis in 2026 say the same thing: lots of energy, quick to act and a sharp eye for what drives people.
Positivity. I get people excited about what we're going to do.
Activator. I turn an idea into action straight away.
Relator. I build close, long-term working relationships.
Maximizer. I turn something good into something excellent.
Achiever. I get energy from being productive and finishing things.
Fast from idea to working system. I start, test and keep building, without talking at length about what might be possible.
I understand what's going on with the client. I listen well and translate that into audience, message and timing.
Independent. Little direction needed. I work best with a clear goal and short check-ins.

I'm based in Breskens, Zeeland. My clients are spread across the country, so a lot happens over video call. On longer projects I'm at the office fairly regularly. What works best depends on the project.
I have a passion for personal growth.
I also like being offline: doing things with my daughter, travelling, cooking, drawing with pencil and paper. That recharges me for the hours behind the screen.
A quick chat? That's exactly what it is.
No sales pitch, no presentation. Thirty minutes in which I tell you what I see. You're also welcome to call, then there's no form in between.
